Two weeks gone
We buried Lady Muck's ashes yesterday. We would have done it sooner but Brother was going to try to come over for it. Didn't work out.
We buried her under the willow tree and we were standing there feeling a bit weepy - and The Boyo decided it was time for a good roll on the grass. He was thrashing around with great enthusiasm, looking perfectly ridiculous and we had to laugh.
The house still seems very quiet. The Boyo seemed a bit subdued at first but I think now it's just the quiet of only one dog. And said dog doesn't care about cucumber ends or apple cores which is weird. I'm used to being rushed as soon as I start to chop those things ... (our last dalmatian adored cucumber peel, mango skins and half-fermented persimmons. Dogs are strange.)
( Our vet clinic is made up of lovely people. And the cremation service was pretty great )
It was warm and sunny for a change yesterday. It seemed like a good time to say goodbye.
Thank you again to everyone who commented two weeks ago. You really helped me deal with this.
