I am making this a declaration
Tonight, I will be able to sleep without being woken up by a faulty smoke alarm and an agitated dog. For the fourth night in a row.
The alarm is wrapped in two towels now and sitting in the car. It cannot escape.
And we still have one functioning alarm. I trust. *eyes it warily*

I made the baked beet chips. They were ... okay? They were sweet and salty and earthy and quite edible but like the kale chips, I don't see what the fuss is about. Mum agrees on this one.
However I also made these biscuits:
I Want to Marry You Cookies
Which seems like a bad name for biscuits I'm sharing with my mother but whatever. Dark and white chocolate, with some oats, vanilla and cinnamon, chewy on the inside with a crispy, almost meringue-like exterior. They are delicious. And all made in one saucepan! Even better.

Is anyone else finding Google's new search page really annoying? I feel like it's rushing me. I'd like the screen to stay still as I'm typing, please.

I really don't undertand what the fuss is about with vegetable chips either. I'm beginning to suspect that it's got a large psychological component. Since I've never been that fixated with crips I don't get what's so great about a healthier alternative?
I'm definitely bookmarking those cookies. They seem very easy to make and if they're as delicious as you say then I need to try them.
I almost always uses the search bar on Firefox to search Google these days. I don't go to the search page until it's finished searching.

Good point about the chips. I occasionally eat potato or corn chips as a treat but they're a treat. I'm not expecting them to be healthy.
I highly recommend the cookies. I only made a half batch so they're almost gone now but they kept well and maintained most of the crispness to the exterior, which surprised me.
Ah, well, we have IE so that's not an option!

I think that the closest I've ever eaten as far as baked beet chips are concerned is digging into a bag of Terra chips. Kale chips I've eaten. Can't say I favour one over the other.
Ooh, and those cookies (wacky name or no) sound delish! *wishes like hell she could bake*

Terra chips? *googles* Goodness, they look ... colourful! I've never bought veggie chips, they're usually quite expensive. But from my experiments at home, I think I'll just stick to the occasional potato or corn chips and eat my other vegetables fresh!
Not a baker? These are really easy, I swear!
