Let this happen!
I'M GOING TO SEE PANIC! AT THE DISCO ON SEPTEMBER 25TH!!!
Phew. Okay. This has kind of been up in the air for a few weeks but I've ordered my ticket and so has Pip and we are going. Yay!
A couple of months ago, it was announced that Panic! would be playing at the Soundwave Revolution festivals in September/October. There was a large line-up including Van Halen as headliners. I really didn't care about any of the bands except Panic! and while a festival ticket was an expensive way to see them, it was better than not! So I asked Pip if she'd like to go, since it did seem like her kind of thing, she said yes, we bought tickets, all good.
Then a couple of weeks ago, Soundwave was cancelled. Supposedly because some unannounced second headliner pulled out. Um, what? People bought tickets based on the existing line-up so I don't get that. Then we heard that there would be smaller fests and shows with some of the original line-up, we just had to wait for details. And wait and wait. But the waiting is over! And Panic! are headlining the new fests!
The one con of the new Counter Revolution:
The venue is less convenient for us.
The pros:
Ticket was two-thirds the price.
Smaller line-up, less crowds, fewer drunks (here's hoping.)
With Panic! as the headliner, there should be a Panic!-friendly audience.
Maybe Brendon will even take his shirt off. Again. *g*
