Pip and I are figuring out when we want to get to Counter Revolution on Sunday. Bit tricky since neither of us has heard of any of the other bands that are playing. Are any of the following Must See Acts?

Mum has arrived safely in Washington. The Qantas strike didn't mees things up too much and she said the worst part of the trip was waiting in line for 1 1/2 hours to get through Immigration at LAX. And some poor child started throwing up in line. But Mum is now happily ensconced with Persia and her two cats.

Meanwhile, our cat decided that he has been Deprived of Cuddles these past two days and this had to remedied immediately. While I was wearing nothing more than a towel, having sat down to rest after my shower. Thank you, cat, for sharing your hairs with me and my freshly moisturised skin.

I don't know All Time Low's music, but they're a bandom-adjacent band and everything I've heard about them has impressed me (most notably, they've publicly said on several occasions that they DON'T think it's cool for their fans to use anti-gay slurs and that even if you have gay friendszz! Totally! !! that still doesn't make it okay. Given the proportion of tumblr teens who think "faggot" is something you can just throw around, that made me really like the band without knowing anything else about them.)

You probably know this? But the drummer for Yellowcard was Adam Lambert's first touring drummer.

The Damned Things is two of the guys from Fall Out Boy's new band.

And I always hear good things, musically, about This Providence.

Bandom-adjacent band. Love that! I listened to a couple of their songs on YouTube and liked them so that's a start ...

LP! I did not know that! I was looking them up on wiki and thinking 'why do I know that name?'

I think I'll leave it for now but thank you. At this point, I'd say This Providence or Story of the Year would be the absolute earliest acts I could see and still be standing for Panic. I'd rather not find out there are even earlier acts I'd enjoy!

I know almost nothing about the current music scene outside what I've learned in bandom so I can't be of any help there I'm afraid.

Yeah, I'm pretty much the same - and even my bandom knowledge is sketchy in places!

Bloody cat. He insisted on sitting on me again twice today. First time was fine, cuddles, second time I was trying to adjust him so he didn't fall off my lap and the little bugger bit me. Didn't break the skin but I dumped him off my lap quicksmart!
