Well, that's annoying

Thirty pages into Lost City of the Incas by Hiram Bingham and suddenly, I'm on page 191. Huh?

Collating error, resulting in double sections of pages 191-238 but no pages 31-78.

I hate when that happens. I was interested, dammit!

That happened to me with a copy of Reading Lolita in Tehran and I didn't catch it for 40 pages (I just thought the novelist had gone experimental on me). It pretty much killed my interest in finishing the book, unfortunately.

I hate when that happens. It happened to me in the last Harry Potter book, I got half way through and it repeated from the beginning again. So frustrating,

That hasn't happened to me for years luckily enough. It's so irritating when it does!

Man, I hate when that happens. Though, in all honesty, the last time it did was years ago. I was reading some pulp novel when, suddenly, the pages jumped from 15 to 72. I'd bought it used and wasn't too invested in the plot. Still, it soured my day a bit.
