I'd say Milk & Honey is Austen-lite with bonus glamour. The second book digs into things a bit more, visiting the Continent, the Napoleonic Wars, which is good; I just didn't connect with the characters.
It was, definitely! A bit dry, a bit uneven, but there have been so many of these women! I had no idea.
