And more rain!
Oct. 1st, 2011 11:53 pmI think I'm recovered. I woke up on Friday and went ... huh. I feel kind of okay.
Tuesday started with a headache but after some tea, headache pills and a gentle amble around the garden (with a bit of work involved), I felt a good deal better - but I didn't push it to trying to make dinner.
On Wednesday, I arranged with Roz to go up to the shops with her since I needed to go to the post office, the chemist, the library and the supermarket. Having done my round of the supermarket rather more briskly than is my wont (if I go with Mum, we either grab a few things on the way home from somewhere or we do the rounds slowly so I can check out what's new and get ideas. Yes, I can make grocery shopping an outing), we headed home, stood on the front porch and talked for half an hour (this being Roz.) I then hauled the bags inside, put the groceries away and fed the animals. Then I collapsed into a chair and ate jellybeans. Two hours later I was so exhausted I couldn't even stay sitting up and went to bed for a few hours. Woke up after midnight and stayed awake until five in the morning.
I should have held off on going out but we needed dog biscuits and milk, etc, etc. Plus I was out of headache pills and I needed to pay the phone bill.
On Thursday, I felt like utter crap. Basically I stared blankly at things for most of the day and ate way too much (mostly of the wrong foods.)
Then on Friday, I woke up and felt human. And inclined to eat a healthy breakfast. And I made a proper dinner. And today I still feel human, despite being woken up by the cat at seven-thirty. He is Not Impressed at being kept in and is showing it by yowling and trying the shred the bottom of the back door. Little bugger. I took him out on his harness yesterday and I think I'll let him out tomorrow. The swelling's gone right down. It's also supposed to rain tomorrow so I hope that will keep him from staying out all hours.
Today, I did laundry (rather I did it last night and hung it out this morning), cleaned up after the animals, made a good dinner, washed up ... Tomorrow I need to get the vacuum cleaner out. I swear at least 75% of household chores are the result of having animals.
