Kale and werewolves and virgins

I am tired today, no idea why. Blergh. Writing is ... not really happening.

Last night we had spaghetti with brussel sprouts, prosciutto and white wine, an old favourite. Except we didn't have any white wine so I used champagne instead, which worked perfectly well.
Tonight, I made Garlicky Kale with Toasted Coconut, using purple lace kale. The supermarket didn't have any flaked coconut so I used shredded and rather than serving it over millet (which I don't think I've ever seen) I cooked a scant 1/4 cup of the quinoa mix and stirred it though at the end, like I do with the roasted brussel sprouts.
Since the coconut was shredded, I thought I should add it halfway rather than at the beginning but when I pulled out the tray the kale had cooked so quickly and reduced so much, I thought, whoops, although the crispy bits of kale I tried certainly tasted good. I added another few leaves of kale with the coconut, plus some sesame seeds, stirred everything together and put it back in the oven. Stirred again five minutes later and then stirred the cooked grains in five minutes after that.
Mum thought it was okay. I really liked it. The flavours were so unusual and although the coconut was unsweetened the natural sweetness came through in contrast to the kale and soy. The kale was a nice mixture of crispy and chewy and altogther more interesting than the last curly kale I tried. The first few mouthfuls had me going, hmmm, this is interesting but do I like it? Next thing I know I've finished the bowl.

MCR are apparently trying to drive us crazy with the adorable and the werewolves. I strongly encourage the writing of more bandom werewolves. Just for the record.*g*
Yet what do I do when I play in a 'verse that has canonical wolf changelings? I ... make none of the characters wolf changelings. And none of current MCR are changelings at all. *facepalm* Well, except Jamia who's a tiger.
