Just finished with Captain America
Okay, I cried. I am a sap. And sad goodbyes, people having to go on without someone they love? Gets me every time.
However, I never really got attached to Steve. He was just ... bland. Generic. I much preferred Chris Evans as Jensen in The Losers. Jensen was not bland.
Peggy was awesome. Need I say more?
Why didn't they cast Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark all along? He's perfect.
Tommy Lee Jones! "I'm not kissing you." *cackles*
I'm not familiar with comics canon but Bucky's fall had to be a set-up for something, right?
I liked Dr. Erskine. *sadface*
Hugo Weaving is always good at bringing the crazy.
The Howling Commandos ruled. "I'm from Fresno, Ace!"
Overall, it was fun but not great. I have a dislike for 'special' characters who come in and take over without any experience. So all Steve's heroics left me rather cold at first. But the fancy tech and explosions were fun.
All the movies except Iron Man felt rather thin. But I suspect with all the main characters together? The Avengers will be spectacular.

Bucky D:
I'll be watching your comments to see if it was a set-up for something.

From what I know, though, Captain America and Thor were the two movies that were more of a set-up than both Iron Man.

This explains a lot of my fandoms actually. Including bandom!
*nods* That makes sense. I think they could have done better though.

In my opinion, Captain America was to introduce the character. Thor is a little better in that it set up a lot of the plot. But Ironman 1 and 2 are the best stand alones, I agree.

*nods* That makes sense. It'll be interesting to watch them again after seeing The Avengers.
