I am being thwarted again

venetia_sassyI decided to go the movies today because I remembered (it's been awhile!) that tickets are cheaper on Tuesdays. But I was thwarted by the weather. Not even the actual weather but the projected weather! Massive storms have been beating up Sydney today and were supposed to reach us by late afternoon/early evening - just when I was planning to go out. It had started to rain by the time I woke up and it was all so grey and dismal and cold that I figured going back to bed was the smarter (and safer) choice.
In the end, we haven't had anything worse than rain but I wouldn't have enjoyed being stuck at the cinema because of trees across the road. So, tomorrow! A better forecast!

Typing this was rather awkward due to the cat sprawled across my lap. I think Mum is actually a bit hurt; the cat has been choosing to cuddle on my lap even when she's right there. I keep assuring her that it's just a phase and he really does love her best.
I honestly have no idea why he's been choosing to sit on me. For the scritches maybe?
