THIS IS RIDICULOUS
May. 8th, 2011 01:56 amI managed to cut myself again.
This time it was on the edge of a brand-new angel food cake pan as I tried to wash and scrape sticker residue from the metal. (Side note: stickers that leave residue are always annoying but why would you use such stickers on cookware? They have to come off! Fortunately, of the four stickers, I was able to remove three completely and the fourth is on the outside of the pan. After I sliced my finger, I gave up.)
This cut wasn't as deep but it bled freely and now my right middle finger is also wrapped in bandaids. While making the angel food cake (for Mother's Day) I had to replace all the bandaids at least twice, having already replaced the thumb bandaids earlier after washing up (bled through.)
Cracking and separating eggs with two fingers in bandaids is very awkward. I ruined several. But the cake is almost cooked now. *fingers crossed* I've never made an angel food cake before. Let's hope all the blood wasn't an omen.
