Animals and engagements

Mum's off to the airport at eight-thirty tomorrow morning. Packed and ready but did she get to have a last relaxing day at home? Nope.

She had to take the cat to the vet first thing, then deal with the insurance people who were taking their time, we both went to the bank later (with a short stop at the library), then she went back to pick up the cat ...

Poor cat turned out to have an infected puncture wound in his paw. It was so sore they had to sedate him to get a good look, and then an x-ray (no broken bones, thankfully.) Five hundred dollars later, paw has been shaved, wound has been drained, antibiotics and painkillers administered and by tomorrow I have no doubt he will be thoroughly pissed off with me for keeping him inside.

He's grounded for a week. I shudder to think how pissed he'll be by the end of that.

I hear Brendon and Sarah are engaged! Made me go 'wha?' for a moment since Brendon's younger than I am but hey, my best friend wasn't that much older when she got engaged, I suppose ...

Well, I wish them happiness. Although Brendon might just explode if he gets any happier. *coos at them*

Clearly these are Mikey's cats, playing with the hamster ball Gerard bought for his future hamster.

... or else, Gerard and Mikey were transformed into kittens (again) and Gerard is having a ball (*facepalm* I wrote that unironically) while Mikey is looking at him like 'Wtf, Gee? Where is this energy coming from? Dude, have some dignity. Shit, you're gonna sprain something.'
