Splish splosh

The backyard is a bog (and was on its way to becoming a lake) after all the rain. A few days ago, I let the dogs out and heard their footsteps - squish, squish, squish. The next day it was splosh, splosh, splosh. But there was sunshine today and it's back to squish, squish, squish. I even managed to go outside without getting soaked.
Dinner went from cool salads to warm quinoa (halved the recipe, except the peas, didn't have fresh coriander but added a pinch of ground and fresh parsley and chives; also used Andean Grain mix instead of plain white quinoa which added some texture and colour) and rice dishes. We have the remains of last night's vegetable paella which supposedly made four servings but it's more like a generous six.
... I'm procrastinating. THE LEMON CURD AWAITS.
