... miss a few days and suddenly it's been over a week (or six months.)
I'm horribly behind on comments but I just want to say that no matter how long it may take me to reply, I read and enjoy every comment.
It's been a wretched couple of weeks, health-wise, what with all the headaches and disrupted sleep and the brainfog has been ... ughh. But I saw my doctor today and I'm changing my Pill and getting a blood test and checking for allergies, etc, etc. New supplements as well. I plan to go to the osteopath soon, covering the bases. I'm starting to improve a bit anyway. I think. Maybe.
The Boyo is healing nicely from his operation. He gave us a couple of scares, vomiting (copiously) one night and since he was still warm in the morning, Mum took him to the vet, fearing infection. While the poor dog vomited again in the moving car (fortunately, Mum had anticipated this) the vet could find no signs of infection. Most likely, he ate something gross in the garden. A couple of days later, having bounced back rather too vigourously, he pulled a stitch and bled all over the tiles. We had to contrive some interesting bandage arrangements.
At the moment, he seems just fine.
The vet managed to clip Lady Muck's toenails without sedating her, apparently by employing the 'Look over there!' tactic and somehow cutting all the nails (without touching her feet, which is the major trigger) before she realised what was happening. I wish I'd seen that.
I left the house for the first time in two weeks on Saturday to go the smaller second market. Lots of dogs to pat, less crowd - but no waffles. *pouts* Followed up by a library visit, then a bra-shopping trip. Then home to bed.
That's about it for excitement.
I wasn't cooking at all for a bit but I've tried a few new recipes - now I just have to remember what they were!
I've been skimming my flist but I really doubt I'll catch up. If anything earthshaking has happened, er, could you point it out, please?
