It was a lovely 24C today. I'm enjoying it and not thinking about the forecast for the rest of the week. And Mum brought home some cherries. Beautiful, luscious (expensive) fresh cherries. Mmm.

Tonight I made Orange Chicken and I highly recommend it! I reduced the sugar and stirfried some snowpeas and shredded cabbage to go with it. There was supposed to be rice but it had gone stale (vacuum sealed) so we each had a piece of toast to sop up the sauce.

It's really good sauce. And the chicken was excellent, not dry or tough at all.

I guess I should start thinking about Christmas goodies ... I did see a turkey recipe that looked like a strong possibility for Christmas dinner but with presents, it's a matter of choosing between the multitudes of awesome looking recipes and balancing what I have the time and energy to actually do right before Christmas.

But right now it's time to make more lemon curd. I made a quadruple batch right before I went away! How fast does she get through it all?!

During early summer you can occasionally get the most luscious, dark red, Turkish cherries here. I love them so much!

That chicken sounds very good though I'm a little doubtful about the amount of vinegar. If I do I'll probably reduce the quantity at the start - I can always add in more if it's too bland.

You will never be free of that lemon curd ;-D

They're from Turkey. They're only in season for a few weeks so I try to keep a sharp lookout - I don't want to miss them :-)

It's great to have dreamy weather isn't it? Over here, the temps have cooled considerably (more mild than crisp/cold). The only boo (no, not really, 'cause I'm not too crazy about the sun) is that it's darkening very early (4:30 - 5 p.m.) so I can't go skating after work as much as I like to.

Gotta admit that I sort of giggled at you sopping up the sauce. Sometimes I've come across dishes where the sauce is the BEST part of the meal. LOL!

Man, are you, like, paying some lemon curd karma? 'cause, hell, that quadruple batch just flew, didn't it?
