Sitting in a car should not be so exhausting

Mum did all the driving but being in a car for 12 hours out of 48 is remarkably tiring. But we have pottery and wood sculpture and Christmas presents and a biscuit tin, met nice people, saw lovely things. And saw puppies and met a lovely border collie, too.

Today I have done nothing whatsoever but I'm about to have another go at putting together this light fixture for Mum's office. Mum has also made several attempts and we are both questioning why she did not buy a ready-assembled fitting.

Temperature drops tonight, hallelujah.

I also find car journeys incredibly tiring. My body really doesn't like sitting still that long. But yay! for getting new things! (I totally LOLed when I saw that tin!)

It does seem weird that the person doing the driving was less tired than I was! I don't think it's the sitting still for me, I think it's the motion of the car. I don't know.

I love the biscuit tin! They had some other products from the same company and they were all fun.

Bah, the lamp. I made at least three attempts then gave up. But the electrician managed it! It looks kind of like a glowing UFO hovering over the desk.

That light, aghh. Ours was larger, too, and I think you need large hands to deal with it. Both electricians tried, got as far as we did, and finally one of them said to the other, go away, I am going to do this. And he did! It looks really good now.

Yay for the cooler weather and the successful shopping trip. Hope things went well wit the putting up the light fixture. :)

The light fixture! Aggh. I gave up but one of the electricians was determined to get it right and he did! I admit, it looks quite lovely. Although it does make me think of a UFO. *g*
