A friend of Mum's recommended these Chickpea & Spinach Vegie Sausages, so we tried some tonight.

I'd rather have chickpeas and fresh spinach or good meat sausages. I'm failing to see the point of these. Pleasantly edible but that's all. And talk about processed!

The farmers' market is on this weekend. I haven't been in months for various reasons (it wasn't held last month for one) and I am looking forward to duck sausages and lots of fresh vegetables and maybe the goat meat stall will be there!

Mum listened to two Hush Sound albums tonight and was humming along. *g* She wanted some cheerful music; she's finding all this grey, damp weather depressing.

Buffalo meat pies! Pink oyster mushrooms! And I tried a bit of black pudding!

Some of the veggie meats are, well . . . not as adaptable as the real thing. From my experience, veggie chicken and (to a lesser degree) ground beef are really good at mimicking the real thing.

Oh, farmer's markets are great!
