Crying bad, cooking good

Ow. Okay, I'm a sap who cries at sad endings but I try not to because crying sucks. Swollen eyes, stuffy nose, and quite often a headache. Well, last night my eyes and nose were fine but I came down with a headache that was still going nine hours and two lots of headache pills later. By then, I was so exhausted that I could fall asleep despite the headache. Aghh.
So I'm a little sleep-deprived now but provided I can get a decent amount of sleep tonight, I'll go to an evening session of The Avengers tomorrow. Failing that, Tuesday.

I haven't been cooking much lately - or rather, I wasn't cooking much when my stomach was upset and since then I've been sticking with recipes I already knew. But I've tried a couple of new egg dishes over the last few days and they turned out well!
Mini bacon and egg tarts. Good! I had two slight problems: 1) The only bread I had was sliced fairly thickly. Thinner slices would be better, more room for the filling. 2) The muffin pan needs to be thoroughly greased or the bread is going to stick. This wasn't too much of a problem with the thick slices but it would be otherwise.
Baked Spinach and Green Onion Frittata. Halved it, using four eggs, green onions instead of leek, and cooking in the oven for 15 minutes, grilling for four. Mmm.
Toinght, being late to rise and rather tired, I just made a slightly fancy bacon and egg muffin. Multigrain English muffin, lightly toasted, with bacon, fried egg, wilted spinach and grated cheese. Very good comfort food for a dreary night.

Isn't a good cry supposed to make you feel better? Who came up with that? Bah.
The frittata is recommended!

Good story though - I went to see it in the cinema with Mum and there were two girls and a guy sitting next to us. Mum was fine but when Jack died, I was crying, the girls next to us were crying. The guy with them handed them tissues - then leaned over and offered one to me. Mum's still laughing at me for that one.
