What if you hate mint flavour?
May. 18th, 2011 11:36 pmWent to the dentist today and there was cleaning, a fluoride treatment and the smoothing of a sharp edge. But there were no cavities and thus, NO NEEDLES!
Generally speaking, I'm not worried by needles but the last time I went to the dentist, a few years ago, I had several cavities (which I was very indignant about! The dentist even commented on how clean my teeth were! So wtf cavities?) and had to have them dealt with. Procedure for the upper one was fine, and I was LULLED INTO COMPLACENCY regarding the next appointment to get the lower ones done.
Needle hit a nerve.
I won't go into details, but HOLY SHIT, that is painful. To put it mildly. And given that there was, y'know, a sharp object in my mouth it was a bit hard to yell. And it wasn't until I talked to people afterwards that I realised that it wasn't actually supposed to feel like that.
So I was slightly less than enthusiastic about going back to the dentist, for other reasons besides the considerable cost. At least I have decent teeth. My grandmother, the dentist, would be pleased about that.
