Definitely feeling better today. More alert and I didn't need to lie down at all!

But I didn't push it and kept myself quiet by reading Darwin and the Barnacle all day. A bit dense but very interesting. I'd read in other books about Darwin putting away his Origin of Species papers for eight years to study barnacles but I never knew why he did that. And having read this book, it now makes perfect sense! Also, while I still have zero interest in reading a book about barnacles, reading a book about why Darwin and others studied them does make them seem a good deal more intriguing - and relevant to Darwin's theories.

Good sleep tonight and I think (hope!) I'll be fine for Macbeth tomorrow ...

That's very good to hear.

I've never been particularly interested in Darwin but a couple of years ago when I read an article about the Beagle I got a sudden fierce longing for fic with Gerard as a the young Darwin and Bob as captain FitzRoy :-)
