I felt like I was watching a Doctor Who crossover at times. Cybermen!

Gwyneth Paltrow was excellent as Pepper and I don't usually like her. But wow, Tony and Pepper make great friends but I'd hate to see them as a couple. That would be ... no. Bad idea.

I liked the first Rhodes better. He was cute.

Why do women wear shoes that do terrible things to their posture and make it nearly impossible for them to walk quickly? (Paltrow had to be wearing sneakers in the run-for-your-life scene. They just didn't show them.)

I love Rhodey! Although it bothers me that it's a different actor. Which, I know, nobody cares about my mental picture problems. I can't wait to see who they use in Ironman 3 (which is apparently filming currently, but I can't Wiki to check that because I am the kind that avoids spoilers like the plague)

I've noticed that Avengers fandom is really good at giving them amicable split ups, and shipping Pepper/Natasha, and Tony/Steve. Which, as much as I don't mind Pepper/Tony, I think they make good friends, so hostile breakup fic would make me sad. Saaaad.

Write another post tomorrow about what you think of CA and Thor!

The different actor bothered me. I liked Terrence Howard and while Don Cheadle was good, it felt like a different character and I just didn't warm to him as much.

Glad to hear the fandom's good with Pepper. I like her and I think she and Tony make excellent friends and colleagues ... but I could just see a relationship destroying that. Serious disaster warnings needed. Amicable break-up, remaining friends? I am all for that!

yeah, sure. Who's Rhodey now?I think part of that may be because Rhodey in Ironman 1 was basically just FML GET OUT OF MY AIRSPACE, but mostly friendly, where Rhodey in Ironman 2 is calling Tony on his shit. His character is a lot more hostile, so they could develop the character War Machine.

Pepper's just so good at evading his bullshit. Like that bit where he was all "remember at the party, it was sexy?" and she was like "remember what? the time that it got sexy and then you said you were getting a drink and then totally fucked off?" I'd hate for them to date and Pepper become more accepting of it.

Don Cheadle returns! Yeah, the relationship between them definitely seemed different. I had a hard time seeing why Cheadle!Rhodey and Tony were friends.

Pepper is great at dealing with him - exactly why I don't want them dating! He wouldn't be a good partner for her as he is and I don't think he'd change from dating her.
